Aki Takahashi

After graduating in violin from Doshisha Women’s College of Liberal Arts in Kyoto, she moved to Italy, beginning an artistic path with various orchestral and chamber ensembles. Since 2007, she has been dedicated to the study of early music, attending masterclasses and seminars with internationally renowned teachers. In 2014, she earned her second-level academic diploma in Baroque violin at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, under the guidance of Maestro Enrico Gatti. In 2015, she was invited to present a paper based on her thesis at the international conference organized by the Fondazione Mantova Capitale Europea dello Spettacolo; the paper was later published in the conference proceedings by Edizioni di Pagina (2016). Since 2008, she has regularly collaborated with Baroque ensembles and orchestras in Italy and Japan, performing at prestigious European festivals and events such as Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, National Arts Festival Japan, MITO SettembreMusica, Bologna Festival, Festival Villa Solomei, Rassegna Organistica Mantovana, Riga Early Music Festival, and Victoria Early Music Festival (Malta). She has participated in numerous recordings for international labels, including Tactus, Brilliant Classics, Glossa Music, Da Vinci Classics, and La Bottega Discantica.
Alongside her performing career, she works as a substitute violin teacher at Italian public and private music schools.
