Andrea Beatriz Lizarraga is a violinist and violist specializing in historical performance on period instruments. Originally from Jujuy, Argentina, studied at the Conservatorio Municipal Manuel de Falla. Later, she was awarded a scholarship by the Mozarteum Argentino to study with Maestro Enrico Onofri at the Conservatorio “Alessandro Scarlatti” in Palermo, where she completed advanced studies and earned a diploma in Baroque violin. While her main focus is on historically informed performance, Andrea also has a deep passion for Argentine folk and tango music. She was a member of the acclaimed Orquesta Escuela de Tango “Emilio Balcarce”, which led to collaborations with a variety of ensembles and orchestras. Among them: the Orquesta Sans Souci and the Orquesta Nacional de Música Argentina “Juan de Dios Filiberto”. Andrea has performed throughout Argentina, Latin America, and Europe, collaborating with ensembles such as the Orquesta Barroca del Suquía (AR), Ensamble Louis Berger (AR), Orquesta de las Luces (AR), Orquesta Barroca Nuevo Mundo (CH), Generation Baroque (FR), Ensemble La Chimera, Talenti Vulcanici, Accademia Montis Regalis, Arianna Art Ensemble, I Musici di Santa Pelagia, and Orchestra Barocca Siciliana (IT), among others. Her performances have taken her to renowned festivals and venues including Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Bachwoche Ansbach, Internationale Händel-Festspiele Göttingen, Musée du Quai Branly (Paris), Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, Trigonale Festival (Austria), Festival de Música antigua de Morelia and Festival de Música Antigua y Barroca Los Fundadores (Mexico), Stockholm Early Music Festival, Festival di Musica Antica di Urbino, Settimane Barocche di Brescia, Festival Back to Bach (Turin), Rencontres Musicales de Saint Ulrich (France), Settimana di Musica Sacra di Monreale, Barocco Festival Leonardo Leo (Puglia), and the Valletta Baroque Festival, among many others.
