Kornelia Korecka

Kornelia Korecka is a violinist and a creative artist. Born in Warsaw, she earned her MA in Violin Performance from the Instrumental & Pedagogical Faculty, Frederic Chopin University of Music (UMFC) in Bialystok, Poland, under Professor Włodzimierz Promiński.
Kornelia began specialising in Baroque violin in 2011, initially as an active member of UMFC’s Early Music Department, with Professor Agata Sapiecha as her tutor. Subsequently, she studied with Judyta Tupczyńska, at the Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Lodz; then, she underwent a traineeship at the Nino Rota Conservatory in Monopoli, Italy, under Alessandro Tampieri; finally, she studied under Professor Zbigniew Pilch at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wroclaw.
Presently, she is a permanent member of the early music ensemble Musicae Antiquae Collegium Varsoviense, affiliated with the Warsaw Chamber Opera [WOK]. In parallel, she frequently appears as a member of the Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra [WOB], the Early Music Foundation Orchestra, Il Tempo, La Tempesta, Il Giardino d’Amore, and the Royal Baroque Ensemble.
Kornelia has attended numerous masterclasses and festivals, such as the International Summer Early Music Academy and the Early Music Forum in Warsaw (led by/with Agata Sapiecha, Simon Standage, Grzegorz Lalek, Lilianna Stawarz and others), Austria Barock Akademie in Gmunden, Austria (Ilia Korol), International Summer Early Music School in Lidzbark Warmiński, Poland (Zbigniew Pilch, Radosław Kamieniarz), the Haendel Academy in Wroclaw, the Mozart Academy in Wroclaw, the Mendelssohn Academy in Wroclaw (Rachel Podger, Il Giardino Armonico, Hans-Christoph Rademann), Wratislavia Cantans, Academia Montis Regalis (Enrico Onofri, Olivia Centurioni), and more.
Apart from her love for music, Kornelia is fond of architecture and painting. She practices several creative activities, such as sewing, drawing, painting, clay sculpting and modelling, with heart and soul.
